Alpinist Studios is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge, data-driven solutions. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying advanced AI systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and transform complex business challenges into scalable and intelligent solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead the complete AI lifecycle—from ideation and design to deployment and maintenance
- Innovation & Research: Explore emerging AI technologies to improve system performance and scalability
- Engineering Excellence: Implement best practices including CI/CD, automation, and quality assurance
- Architectural Leadership: Contribute to system design decisions and maintain strong technical documentation
- Risk Management: Identify project risks, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive strategies
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, ML, and data science
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior team members in their professional growth
- Organizational Contribution: Promote a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement
Technical Requirements
Core Expertise
- Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and advanced analytics, including:
- Bayesian statistics, clustering, NLP, time series analysis, neural networks
- Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) (preferred) or Computer Vision
- Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) or equivalent languages (R, Java, Scala, Julia)
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow
- Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) in real-world applications
- Strong experience in MLOps and end-to-end ML system development & deployment
- Experience with web frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, or Django
- Familiarity with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data systems
- Solid understanding of software engineering practices:
- SDLC, Git, CI/CD, Docker, scalability
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Big Data tools: Apache Spark, Kafka, Kinesis
- Familiarity with cloud ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, GCP ML Engine)
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
